Registration for Spring 2007 West County CYC Junior Golf will begin Janurary 1st, 2007.  The program is open to Ascension parishioners (boys and girls) from 2nd - 8th grades.  It will run from about Mid-March to Late-May.

Training League

• Grades 2 Through 4 – Boys And Girls – No Experience Necessary 
• Must Live Within The Parish Boundaries
• Professional Golf Instruction – Six (6) – 30 Minute Team Group Lessons
• Teams Limited To 8 Juniors
• Play Six (6) Nine Hole Golf Matches On Mini Course At Family Golf Complex In O’fallon, Mo Off Of Highway K (In Front Of Pheasant Run Golf Course) – 15 Minutes From Chesterfield Valley
• This is a Non-Competitive Golf Program For The Beginner
• $85 Per Junior Golfer, Includes Polo Golf Shirt W/School Logo/Colors
  

Junior League

• Grades 5 Through 8 – Boys And Girls – No Experience Necessary 
• Must  Live Within The Parish Boundaries
• Professional Golf Instruction – Three (3) 1½ Hour Team Group Lessons
• Teams Limited To 8 Juniors
• Play Six (6) Nine Hole Golf Tournaments On Pheasant Run Golf Course in O’fallon Mo & Family Golf Complex In Kirkwood
• Teams Will Be Grouped By Grade/Gender/Experience And Will Play Other Teams of Like Skill
• There Will Be A 1 Hour “Rules Of Golf/Golf Etiquette” Seminar Held To Review The Program With Parents And Juniors – You And Your Junior Must Attend One of these Seminars 
• $110 Per Junior Golfer, Includes Polo Golf Shirt W/School Logo/Colors

Coaches Needed

During registration you will have the opportunity to volunteer to coach.  We need a coach for each team.  Coaching involves:

• Attending 1 golf meeting on golf etiquette and the rules of golf
• Disseminating information to the members of the team
• Taking golfers to the matches (if needed)
• Coordinating and attending golf practices
• Making sure golf course etiquette is adhered to during play
• Ensuring that score cards are turned in after match play
• Making sure the golfers enjoy themselves while learning the game
• You must also meet Ascension coach requirements by taking Protecting God's Children and submitting a background check.
